Small, friendly daytime classes in Lapworth, Solihull.
Our classes are small, friendly and relaxed. The aim is for both you and your dog to have fun while you learn. In class we can help your dog build confidence, learn to be calm and focused and learn co-operative behaviours. We do this though a reward-based approach to training.
Puppy Classes - for puppy training once they have completed their vaccination schedule
Beginner Basics - for dogs and owners new to training
Advanced Class - for dogs who have completed puppy or beginner basics classes. Option to go for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme Awards.
Classes run on Mondays between 10am and 1pm at Lapworth Village Hall, Old Warwick Road (B4439), Lapworth. The classes run in 6 week blocks

One to One Training
Puppy Advisory Sessions
It can be great fun having a puppy but it's also hard work! I offer individual advice and guidance sessions and practical training at your home. You and your family can learn together how to help your puppy grow up to be a well socialised, well mannered companion. During the session we can cover whatever areas you would like advice on. Over the years I have found that common topics of concern include for example:
- Housetraining
- Mouthing/biting (with those needle-sharp little teeth!) and grabbing
- Chewing
- Destructive behaviour
- Barking and whining
- Fears e.g. loud noises, household appliances
- Handling and grooming
- Accepting a collar and lead
- Basic, early training
One-to-one dog training sessions
These are held at your house and cover areas you would like to focus on. We can go through how to train a variety behaviours such as walking beside you, bringing a ball back and so on. We can also cover common problems such as
- Pulling on the lead
- Recall problems
- Attention seeking behaviour
- Jumping up on people

Clicker Training Workshop
Clicker Training Workshops are occasionaly held in the West Midlands, or in Surrey in conjunction with Guildford College at Merrist Wood Campus
